Buyer requests and alerts on AppAcquire

New: Tell Us What You Want to Buy, and Hear the Moment It Is Listed

By AppAcquire · 17 October 2026 · 6 min read

Browsing is fine when you have time to check the marketplace every day. Most buyers don't. A buyer request is a private brief: tell us your budget, platforms, categories and the numbers you need, and AppAcquire shows you every live app that fits, emails you when a new one is listed, and gives our team what we need to find you deals that never reach the public marketplace.

Key takeaways

  • A buyer request is private. Only you and the AppAcquire team can see it, never sellers or other buyers.
  • Matches are worked out from each listing's verified and stated figures, and every match says why it fits and what is still unknown.
  • Choose instant, daily or weekly alerts, or turn them off and check your dashboard instead.
  • Save a search straight from Browse when you just want alerts, and add detail later.

Who it is for

  • Buyers with a clear brief, such as "an iOS subscription app in health, under $25k, already earning".
  • Studios and portfolio builders who want every app in a niche as soon as it is listed.
  • Investors with a budget and a deadline, who want the AppAcquire team to source deals for them.
  • Anyone still exploring, who wants a weekly email instead of checking Browse.

How to create a buyer request

  1. Start at appacquire.com/buy, or sign in and open Buyer requests in your account. From Browse, use Save search & get alerts.
  2. Choose the platforms and categories you want, then set your budget.
  3. Set the performance you need: a revenue floor or "pre-revenue OK", verified revenue only, how the app earns, and any minimum downloads.
  4. Tell us when you are ready to acquire: within 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or just browsing.
  5. Pick how often to hear about new matches, and whether to get today's matches by email now.
The form counts matching listings as you fill it in. If the count drops to zero, the last thing you changed is the one to loosen.

What each field matches

Every field in a request is checked against data the listing actually has: its store links, the seller's figures and any connected revenue source.

You chooseWe checkIf the listing doesn't say

Strong and possible matches

Lots of good small apps don't state every figure. Rather than hide them, a request sorts them into two groups:

  • Strong match: everything you asked for is confirmed by the listing.
  • Possible match: everything the listing shows fits, but something you asked for isn't stated, such as profit. The card says what is missing, so you know what to ask the seller.

Every match lists the reasons it fits, such as "Verified $850/mo" or "Subscriptions". If you only want strong matches in your inbox, choose Strong matches only for alerts.

Alerts

SettingWhat you get
InstantAn email as soon as a matching listing is approved
DailyOne email a day with any new matches, and nothing on days without them
WeeklyOne email on Mondays with the week's new matches
OffNo emails. Matches still appear in your dashboard

You never get the same listing twice for the same request. Every alert has a link to pause it or change how often it comes, and the unsubscribe link only turns off that one request.

Filtering in Browse and like what you see? Choose Save search & get alerts to get alerts for those filters without filling in a full request. Saved searches sit under Buyer requests, use the same matching, and can be turned into a full request at any time by adding more detail.

Who can see your request

  • You, in your dashboard.
  • The AppAcquire team, so we can look for apps that fit and introduce you to sellers.
  • Nobody else. Sellers and other buyers can't see your request, your budget or that you made one. We never share your identity with a seller without asking you first.

Setting a budget that finds apps

Most apps on AppAcquire are small, owner-run businesses, and asking prices cluster at the lower end. Here is where live listings sit today:

  • Under $1k14 listings · 11%
  • $1k to $5k32 listings · 25%
  • $5k to $25k49 listings · 38%
  • $25k to $100k25 listings · 19%
  • $100k and over9 listings · 7%

If your budget sits above most of the market, keep the request anyway. Those are the requests our team works on first, because the apps that fit them are often sold privately. Our valuation guide explains how prices relate to revenue.

Tips for a request that works

  • Start broad, then narrow. Two or three categories and either platform finds more than one category on one store.
  • Allow "pre-revenue OK" if you can run growth yourself. Plenty of apps with real users haven't switched on monetisation yet.
  • Use verified revenue only when the number is the deal. It is the strongest filter, so expect fewer, better matches.
  • Say what matters in additional criteria: a tech stack, a market, a type of user. Our team reads every one.
  • Be honest about timing. "Within 30 days" tells us you are ready, and we will reach out when something fits.

Frequently asked questions

Is a buyer request public?
No. Only you and the AppAcquire team can see it. Sellers can't see requests, and there is no public list of buyers.
How many requests can I have?
Up to 10 buyer requests and 20 saved searches at once. Pause the ones you are not using, or delete them.
Why is a listing marked as a possible match?
It fits everything it shows, but doesn't state something you asked for, such as profit or how it earns. The card names what is missing so you can ask the seller.
Can I pause alerts without deleting the request?
Yes. Pause a request to stop its alerts and keep it in your dashboard, then resume it whenever you like.
What happens when I buy an app?
Choose "I've acquired an app" on the request. It closes and its alerts stop. If you bought through AppAcquire escrow, your deal stays in Deals as usual.
Does it cost anything?
No. Buyer requests and alerts are free. The usual 1.5% buyer fee applies only if you complete a purchase through AppAcquire escrow.
