What buyers and sellers say
What app sellers and buyers say about using AppAcquire
“I had an app I'd built a couple of years ago that still had users but I wasn't really doing anything with it. I didn't want to just shut it down, so I put it on AppAcquire. The listing took about 10 minutes and I got a few enquiries that were actually relevant.”
“I'd never bought an app before, so I wasn't really sure what I should be looking for. Being able to see the revenue, downloads and what the seller was asking for made it much easier to compare a few different opportunities.”
“I'm trying to build a portfolio of small apps rather than spend all my time starting things from zero. AppAcquire has been useful for finding apps where the developer has clearly built something but doesn't have the time to keep pushing it.”
“I'd basically stopped updating the app because I was working on something else. It was still making a bit of money, but not enough for me to justify spending much time on it. Selling it made more sense than leaving it sitting there.”
“Most of the acquisition marketplaces I'd looked at seemed geared towards fairly large businesses. I was specifically looking for smaller mobile apps that I could actually afford and operate myself. That's what brought me to AppAcquire.”
“The app had decent usage but I'd never really figured out user acquisition. I'm much better at building than marketing. I decided I'd rather sell it to someone who wanted to have a go at growing it than keep wondering what to do with it.”
“I like buying things that already have some users rather than starting completely from scratch. I came across an app on AppAcquire that was technically pretty simple but had a decent user base. That made it interesting to me.”
“I had three apps sitting in my developer account that I hadn't touched in ages. One of them had surprisingly good numbers compared with the others, so I decided to list it. It was a pretty painless way of testing whether there was any interest.”
“I normally work on web businesses, so I was interested in buying an existing mobile app rather than learning everything from scratch. There were enough details in the listings to get a sense of which ones were worth asking more questions about.”
“I've bought apps directly from developers before and the hard part is usually finding them in the first place. AppAcquire gives me somewhere to look through opportunities without having to go hunting around for developers who might want to sell.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Buying and selling mobile apps on AppAcquire
What is AppAcquire?
AppAcquire is a marketplace for buying and selling mobile apps. It lists iOS and Android apps for sale, from early-stage apps with a growing user base to profitable subscription businesses, with asking price, monthly revenue, and downloads on every listing.
Browse apps for sale →What does the Verified badge mean?
A Verified listing has a signed-in seller account, proof of ownership, a public App Store or Google Play link, and a connected source: App Store Connect, Firebase Analytics, Play Console, a RevenueCat Verified page, Stripe, or TrustMRR. Play Console proves the Android app is yours and can show user counts from Play vitals even at $0 revenue. Where RevenueCat is connected, the listing shows live revenue, MRR, and subscriber charts pulled directly from RevenueCat rather than typed in by the seller.
How do I buy an app on AppAcquire?
Browse or filter listings by category, platform, price, and verified status. Open a listing to review its metrics, store page, and seller profile, then contact the seller. Make an offer, agree terms with the seller, and pay through Escrow.com, which holds your money until you have accepted the app. Due diligence and transfer of the store account, source code, and data happen between you and the seller.
How do I sell my app?
Create a seller account and submit your app with its store link, financials, and proof of ownership. Once approved, your listing goes live. Connecting a revenue source earns the Verified badge, and verified listings are ranked ahead of unverified ones.
List your app →Do you offer brokerage and support?
Yes. Our team provides free brokerage support, including help with pricing, buyer introductions, negotiation, agreements and handover, and support is available 24/7 at support@appacquire.com and from each deal’s conversation.
Contact us →Is AppAcquire an Escrow.com partner?
Yes. AppAcquire is an official Escrow.com partner. Payments for sales made on AppAcquire are held by Escrow.com and released to the seller only after the buyer accepts the app. AppAcquire never holds your funds.
Buying and selling with escrow →Do you take a commission on sales?
Only when a sale completes through AppAcquire escrow: 1.5% of the price from the buyer and 1.5% from the seller, collected by Escrow.com at closing. Escrow.com’s own fee is split 50/50. Listing is free, and there is nothing to pay if the sale does not complete. Sellers who want more visibility can also pay for optional promotion such as featured placement.
How escrow and fees work →Can I sell an app that makes little or no revenue?
Yes. Many buyers look for apps with users, a working codebase, and store history that they can grow themselves. List the metrics you have honestly. Play Console and a RevenueCat Verified page can be connected even if your app is pre-revenue.
How do I work out what my app is worth?
Small apps usually sell for a multiple of annual profit or revenue, adjusted for growth, how much work the app needs, and how dependable the revenue is. Compare asking prices against revenue on similar listings, or use the free app valuation tool.
Estimate your app value →How is an app transferred to the buyer?
Apple and Google both support transferring an app between developer accounts, which keeps its reviews, rankings, and users. The buyer and seller also agree on handing over source code, backend services, domains, and any revenue tools. Our guides walk through each store's process.
